Pastor Adeboye, the RCCG General Overseer, made the request during the church’s August convention, explaining that the funds were needed to accommodate the growing number of worshippers at the Redemption Camp. In a Facebook post, Ibrahim expressed surprise at the criticism Pastor Adeboye’s donation call has received. He said the request was voluntary and not forced on anyone. "It is my money, not yours.
