APOSTLE IREN BLASTS MEMBERS WHO COME TO CHURCH WITH A CUSTOMER’S MENTALITY.
Apostle Iren while teaching on the Subject, “Plug-In: Finding Your Place In The Movement” on Sunday, blasts members who come to Church with a customer’s mentality.
According to him, people who come to Church with a customer’s mentality don’t really understand what Church is and that is why they keep moving from one Church to another. These set of people don’t do anything in the Church because they don’t see the need to join the workforce of the Church. They just want to be served like in a restaurant. They see problems in the Church but they don’t see themselves as part of the solution. They are always fault finders. They keep putting blame on pastors when things don’t go well in the Church and when their needs are not met in the Church, they tend to leave.
He gave examples of people who left the Church because they felt the Church wasn’t sensitive to their personal needs. He also cited an example of how some people left the Church because he didn’t attend their weddings even though Church members and pastors graced the occasion. The same set of people will never attend the event of other Church members who they are not acquainted with.
“Many times we demand what we don’t give because we see ourselves as customers. These people are not interested in knowing how things are done and that is why they keep criticizing any fault they see in the Church” - he remarked.
